History / Philosophy

Administration includes Janet George, Fellow/AOGPE, Head of School / Principal and Mary Ragsdale, Assistant Head of Schoo,. The teaching staff includes licensed classroom teachers, a school psychologist, an art specialist, a drama and music instructor and Orton-Gillingham reading therapists. Attainment of certification from the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators is a requirement for all classroom teachers and tutors.

Hutson School Board members are active and supportive of the mission of Hutson. The Trustee's leadership is strengthened by their diverse professional backgrounds, including business, finance, foundation development, special education law and medicine. The Board will continue to serve a vital role as the school grows.
